Mobile 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

Below is a gallery and description of my experience shooting for the Mobile 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. Without credentials and Media passes, you are forced to find your own spots that may stray you away from the spots you'd want to be. However, at Sebring Raceway you will find that it is one of the most accessible racetracks to all race fans. With so many places to view as a spectator, there are plenty of amazing shots to be had. It is certainly one of the best tracks for any race lover or photographer. Below you will see a gallery of all my favorite shots obtained at Sebring.

Different classes of Cars at Sebring

GTP

In motorsports, "GTP" stands for Grand Touring Prototype, and it refers to the top-tier prototype racing class in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. These are pure racing prototypes, not based on production vehicles, and are known for their technological advancement and manufacturer involvement.

GTD

"GTD" refers to the Grand Touring Daytona class, where production-based GT3 cars compete, and GTD PRO is the class for the best GT drivers and factory programs.

GTD Pro

In the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, GTD PRO (Grand Touring Daytona Pro) is a class where factory teams and drivers compete in race cars built to FIA GT3 technical regulations, distinct from the GTD (Grand Touring Daytona) class, which allows a mix of factory and amateur drivers.

LMP2

LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype 2) is a sports prototype racing class, one step below the hypercar category, that uses a standardized 4.2-liter Gibson V-8 engine and allows for a variety of chassis constructors, including Oreca, Dallara, Ligier, and Multimatic.
